Success is often measured in learning. Wake Up offers continuing classes, events, and clinics for training and development. Each class, event, and clinic is designed to lead the participants from information to application. We only teach the stuff that works.

Course Offerings

Distance Learning Center

Wake Up Publishing is pleased to announce the launch of its Distance Learning Center. The DLC offers coursework that is needed for every author. Each monthly class is designed as a seminar to allow participants to ask questions and contribute to the discussion. The classes are designed to focus on a critical topic that will move the author from manuscript to market. The 12 month schedule will allow you to enroll in all course offerings, or mix and match to fit your schedule and needs. Enrollment is $97.00 per class, but they may be purchased as a 12 month package for $75.00 per class. These classes should not be confused with the monthly marketing and editorial teleclass.

Instructors: Wake Up Publishing’s Senior Editor and Director of Private Publications will team to provide first hand knowledge of writing and publishing.

Events

You, Your Book, Your Business 2009-2010

This three-day workshop is designed for authors who are ready to learn the science of marketing and to develop a promotional strategy for their book.  The first two days are filled with classroom instruction, guest speakers and a visit to the largest POD printer in the United States.  On the third day, each participant will be given a private marketing development session.  You will leave with a plan for action.  Join us as we learn and network to promote and market your own publication.

Specialized Skill Sessions

These sessions are designed to target a very specific need of an individual author. Authors request training in any area in which they feel they need. This may range from writing support to media skills. These sessions may be purchased as private or semi-private (2-3 max) sessions in which all participants share the cost.
